Ep. 70: Jessie Sheehan: Starting Over: From an Actress to a Lawyer to a Baker

In today’s episode, I’m happy to introduce you to Jessie Sheehan. Jessie is an actress, turned lawyer, turned professional baker! I’m very happy to share her story with you. The very first thing that stood out to me was Jessie’s energy. I feel like she could run around the world 3 times before the rest of us wake up. When you listen to this conversation or if you follow her on social media, you’ll instantly see what I mean.

Jessie shares her transformation from wanting to be an actress and pursuing that as a career for many years. From there, she became a lawyer and worked in that world. Then, starting as an unpaid granola sorter, she entered the world of food and baking and has not looked back!

I am convinced that no matter the career of choice, Jessie is made to entertain. Her energy is palpable, she is clearly made for this. We talk about how showing her true personality through videos that she has been creating during the coronavirus pandemic have helped to attract people to her and that she is ok with the knowing that she isn’t for everyone.

“Everything comes full circle. Everything happens for a reason. The hustle pays off. If you continue to put your energy out there eventually you will be rewarded.”(Click to tweet!)

~ Jessie Sheehan

She also shares some of the hardest times in her life including her battle with breast cancer, and why she credits baking for helping her through that difficult time. We talk about her thriver self and how she comes back to this part of herself when things feel hard and dark.

Jessie is proof that it’s never too late to start over, create a second (or third act), and yes have all of those second firsts. Jessie’s work, books, and baking creations will brighten up your life if you dive into her world. She makes me feel happy! Food is pleasure and at this time in the world, we need this more than ever.

I hope that you enjoy and feel inspired by this conversation as much as I did. I hope that after listening you will connect to Jessie’s story and look for something that maybe you had put off or thought that you were too late or too old to start. Please also share this with anyone in your life that you think could use this message, and of course be sure to check out Jessie’s delicious recipes.

If you are needing support during this pandemic, I invite you to join my free Facebook Group that I have created for you. It is so important to me that we are ready to exit the Waiting Room when it’s time to re-enter our new lives on the other side of this.
